Hi guys,
It’s been a while and I’m going to post more frequently as some readers have requested specifically I do this! I had an odd turn with Instagram and the whole ‘blogging’ influencer scene as of late. I will get onto my favourite things to do whilst in Dubai and vehemently express about how amazing staying in the St Regis was, but first:
I have had Instagram blues lately and haven’t been posting as much, I believe a lot bloggers and influencers are/were feeling the same. With Instagram playing around with its algorithms it’s been tough as an influencer who was growing at a relatively good wave but now is now slower. A lot of bloggers and influencers have now joined another app called Vero, which I’m going to check out! Reports have shown a massive decrease in instagram posting. I’m really looking forward to starting the YouTube channel, which has consequently worked in my favour as I think it will create real exposure of what I really want to show you guys. I really think it will be positive, fun and a new chapter in my influencer/blogger journey. Additionally, it will be a brand new way to connect to a whole new demographic of people. I have taken my sweet time with it as I’ve wanted to create something epic and get used to editing videos etc. I can be a bit of a technophobe, so my grandest of apologies whilst I create it for you all.
I happened to visit my sister who works for Vogue Arabia, Sharmane is now back in the UK freelancing for them. I am really happy she is back and will be participating with me regularly in our YouTube videos.
So, the St Regis is my favourite luxury hotel in Dubai. There is no other hotel in the world with an entrance that’s as grand and wholly magnificent as this one (my humble opinion) I have not seen so much marble and gold ornately placed together. I’m an interior buff at heart and this really was the creme dela creme of entrances. The Gold Venetian staircase placed on both the left and right runs all the way up to the top floor. The appearance has the perfect touch of a colossal gold chandelier that sits directly in the middle.
I stayed in both the superior room and the Bentley suite, which is very opulent indeed. The furnishings are modern yet classic. The Bentley suite was very high-end modern luxury. The desirable walk-in-wardrobe/glam room was a dream come true and it was massive. There were accents of Bentley in the suite everywhere, which included the plush cream leathers and Bentley car models on top of fashion books (a style interior must do). This is what every person can want from a luxury hotel and more. The butler service was incredible; being able to ring up and have my ironing done within minutes was so convenient and time saving for the shoots I had to do for brands. I only ever want to stay here in Dubai and possibly the one & only at some point.
