Sorry I’ve been MIA,. Life is just one fast ass rat race. I feel I’ve been blinking and the time has just vanished before my eyes and its already summer approaching. Slump, overwhelmed with a lot of things I have to achieve this year and I’m human so procrastination is my blood. I am actually getting a personal trainer and dietitian to sort out my energy slumps. I have been eating much healthier which has had me feeling A LOT better. I think cutting out red meat and dairy really took out my energy and it’s something I’ve been adjusting to overtime. I took it out of my diet due to health reasons and to be more environmentally ethical. By health reasons I mean increased inflammation in your body which equals to just pure toxicity and increased risk of cancer, that is just one of many reasons (do your research) I’ve been eating it in scarce amounts for the past 5 years and parties and events but the past year and half I have been extremely strict.
I had an adhoc, impromptu get away to Istanbul whereby a dear friend named Bambi ,recommended we go there for a girly trip which ended up being a spontaneous cosmetic surgery trip. Bambi is the perfect holiday companion, she is fun and full of life. Bambi owns a company called plasmetics which specialise in recommending people clinically safe, sound clinics and puts her clientele in contact with some of the best surgeons in the world. Being the good friend that she is, she put me forth to a clinic called Estetik international, it’s one of the best cosmetic surgery clinics in Europe and has a fantastic reputation.
It was a completely sporadic decision to get surgery and it’s something I had wanted all my life that I just didn’t get the chance in doing until Bambi made a suggestion. Now, some people might be reading this thinking ‘you don’t need it, you should love your own skin’ and although all of that is true, I am a strong believer of self-improvement and if you don’t like something you have the absolute right to change that to feel more confident. I think cosmetic surgery can be a ‘healthy’ thing if the right attitude and demeanor is applied to it. Bambi knew I always hated my chin and jawline- She also knew I hated my overly full chipmunk cheeks which seemed to be getting bigger as I aged. I am size UK 6 and even though I went to gym, the area of fat was resistant to diet/exercise.
We stayed at the wonderful pleasure of staying at the Mr Cas hotel in Istanbul, it was my first time here and it was a very interesting place. The hotel was an absolute hidden gem and I recommend anybody to stay, the rooms are beautiful, modern art deco with a hint of a rustic vintage flair. I love finding luxury boutique hotels as they often have so much character to them as opposed to a commercialised hotel, don’t get me wrong though, I’ll be happy to stay at a four seasons! I will come back to stay again to explore more, I really would like to go to the helium hot air balloons in Cappodocia,
So Anyway, back to my procedure, I met with my doctor (Dr Selcuk) at Estetik international, I told him my concerns and how I hated my double chin, he immediately said that some fat from my cheeks would make more of an impact even though it would be a natural change, after deliberating with Bambi I decided to go ahead with it. Both procedures were buccal fat removal and chin liposuction. I’ve provided an article by Huda beauty explaining the buccal fat pad removal in more detail:
The clinic felt like a 5 star hotel and there is nothing like it back in the UK. I felt safe and secure. I didn’t feel any pain and discomfort was minimal. My final result will occur after another month but a lot of the swelling has gone down already, I’d say there’s about 20 percent left which you couldn’t point out unless I told you. I’m really happy with the results. I would never have surgery in Turkey due to the unlicensed doctors and botch jobs often mentioned in the press but Estetik is one of the best clinics in Europe and is a completely different calibre to cosmetic clinics.
I wont leave it so long, until next time….
