As Spring Emerges-Style Edit
Apparently Spring is here but I am still cold! Spring in Britain is a major anticlimax. It’s never quite that warm, the bitterness is still lingering around, like article 50 trying to be triggered and it never quite leaves until Summer hits you full throttle. While I am typing away, I have just realized how extremely British I have been by keeping my first sentence about the weather. You can’t be British if you don’t talk/cry/dance/moan about the weather.
I chose this lovely faux mink coat by House of CB to wear. I was so happy when I first saw this coat in real life; I love how REAL it looks compared to real mink. I felt proud buying it as I am trying to stay away from real fur and when I do purchase the real thing I only buy from trusted animal farms. I like to ensure that I personally know the farmer and the animal has died of natural causes (These farms do exist, but the fur is understandably very expensive)
The coat is very luxurious and I felt eyes being drawn to it from all angles. It is worth the money considering how authentic it looks. My Louboutin shoes are a Christmas present from my fiancé that I just hadn’t worn yet, so I was super excited to wear them for the first time. They are in the ‘so Kate‘ style, which is perfect considering they were missing from my ridiculous collection. I much prefer these to the typical pigalle style, being heaps more sexy and flattering. ‘Christening’ Louboutin’s are always fun as you painstakingly avoid ruining the red sole. There is an amazing Louboutin Cobbler in the city that makes them brand new if you really are OCD with them, as some of us ladies are! (163-165 Whitecross St, London EC1Y 8JT). My Glasses are from Topshop, these beauties change colour from green to pink in different lights. Being an accessories snob I have been used to buying designer sunglasses from the womb. It has been a consistent personal rule that all my accessories had to be ‘designer’. I saw them shining across the store in Topshop Knightsbridge and I had to have them! I now believe that high-street sunnies (not all! Before I get carried away) can be just as fantastic given the right design. My black ensemble underneath is from Sandro Paris, one of my personal favorites.
Until next time Mermaids and Mermen
