La mamounia was a dream. An impeccable Moroccan palace fit for a princess. Its tiling and décor wasn’t just unique, it was perfect. Neutral hues yet glamorous in all its wonder. Fountains inside the reception, a Dior and a Saint Laurent boutique, gardens with ice cream on call, marble floor, the list goes on.
Their spa rooms and indoor pool were truly magnificent, I just wanted to stay there forever, the seclusion of it all wasn’t like anything I have experienced. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. From what I know you don’t have to be a resident to use the facilities and to see the indoor pool alone is worth it. The Morocaan arches, with a poolside bed centered in the middle surrounded with gold pillars was flawlessly crafted. The massage rooms and hallways are also decked out to perfection. Every single tile and slab was correctly placed. The Spa treatments are worth the money. My sister and the ‘bride tribe’ had the Moroccan hamaam experience and loved it. I was boring and opted for a massage as I was incessant I have one, I also know that I will be returning.
A great alternative for people who don’t want to spend a fortune each night can opt for the on day pass. From 500 MAD per person, it is available one day from Monday to Sunday and upon request. The Day Pass gives you a free access to the leisure facilities: Outdoor Swimming pool, indoor Swimming pool, fitness pavillon and tennis courts (upon availability).
This had to be one of my favorite indoor pools that even rivals the Park Hyatt in Tokyo and The Shangri La in London. I have a thing for luxury swimming pools. (a true mermaid). If you haven’t already guessed it by now.
I am incredibly judgmental on décor & details, the swimming pool is the final cherry on the pie. The pool at night was even dreamier, it will leave you in awe.
The food itself was brilliant and the customer service is extremely high. I noticed in a few places around Morocco, not all places are big on that aspect, it’s a western entitlement that we all expect everywhere we go, it really does just make the overall experience more pleasant. My only wish is that I stayed longer but I couldn’t as I had a wedding back in London I had to plan.
A lot of great material coming soon! I can now focus on my youtube channel Until next time.
