I wandered through the streets of Mayfair to catch some luxury bargains and thought I’d share my look as a lot of people requested to see the Gianvito Rossi’s I purchased in live action. I also didn’t manage to purchase anything because I just didn’t like much of what was on offer or it was simply because I already had similar products. I was about to buy some beautiful Manolo’s but unfortunately the print on the shoe just wasn’t versatile or practical enough, therefore limiting my wear (trying to curb impulse buying and buy items I will use over&over.) I thought it would be fun to play Pokemon go around the streets of Mayfair. That was a poor joke but I just couldn’t resist!
On the frenzy it has caused, I think it’s a wonderful phenomenon that I was lucky enough to grow up with in the 90’s that has spruced back to life. I collected all the rare shiny cards and played Pokemon red religiously using my Nintendo gameboy. In this sick sad world it’s made people smile and brought folk together; even if the concept is idiotic to some people. Just don’t play it when you’re driving then we’ll all be dandy.
Anyway back to the world of fashion. I LOVE Gianvito Rossi’s more than any brand I’ve purchased lately. They are crafted beautifully and elegantly fit your feet like Cinderella’s glass shoe (which is what I call the Plexi style) they are super comfortable compared to Louboutins and Choo’s, which is a shocker as I wasn’t expecting this at all. I paired them with my blush nude Chanel bag I purchased a few months ago in Harrods and this awesome khaki green badged jacket which made my look a little quirkier. Additionally, I wore with high waisted skinny Top jeans in ‘Joni’ which are probably my favourite jeans EVER, I get complimented on them all the time. If you haven’t got a pair I suggest you get them (you can thank me later)
When you are picking out a pair of Gianvito Rossi Plexi heels be extremely careful of picking out the right size, I had a blunder with these heels as I went half size up due to the plastic but for my feet type it was a huge mistake. I managed to make them fit with an invisible insole and lots of other hacks. With any luxury shoe make sure they fit and walk around in them in store, a lot of people forget that part, don’t . They are such a great brand I even purchased another style in glitter, which if you know me, I am an absolute magpie for glitter, EVERYTHING should be glitter. I have collaborated with Nails Inc and will look forward to reviewing their polishes. As popular as they are, I have never used their products before, so this will be interesting.
